OUR ETHOS

I believe that Bruce Lee was one of the world's first mixed martial artists. He broke away from traditional teachings, and created a style of no style. “Absorb what is useful, discard what is not, and add what is uniquely your own'' is a quote from Master Lee that I think summarizes his approach. It is also the underlying principle of Grit and Growth, and why we can confidently say that martial arts is for everyone. Martial arts is not easy, but we are here to make it safe, interesting, and rewarding. It’s our mission to help you find an approach to martial arts that fits your body type, intensity level, and long term goals.

By not focusing on any one particular style, or tradition, we are able to focus on what we believe is the most important thing: you. The experience of our members is our north star, and this is reflected in everything we do: firstly, we have a flexible schedule designed to fit around your busy life; secondly, we have small classes which allow our coaches the time they need to provide individualized feedback; and lastly, we have coaches with varied backgrounds, so we can offer as many different approaches as possible, increasing the odds we can find just the right combination for you.

GRIT & GROWTH: A MODERNIZED AND PERSONALIZED APPROACH TO MARTIAL ARTS.
